Two suspects got away after robbing a restaurant deliveryman in Nassau County, according to police.

At 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, a 51-year-old man was delivering Chinese food on Lowell Street in New Cassel when he was met by two unknown men, said Nassau County Police.

The suspects forcibly took an undisclosed amount of cash and a phone from the deliveryman before fleeing in an unknown direction, according to police.

The victim was taken to a local area hospital for treatment for contusions to his face and other non-life threatening injuries. said Nassau County Police.

Detectives requested anyone with information on this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous, according to police.
